Catalina Foothills is situated in the southern foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
The Catalina Foothills area is generally defined as north of River Road, east of Oracle Road, and west of Sabino Creek. The Catalina Foothills community forms the core of Tucson’s resort corridor. Hacienda del Sol, La Paloma, Ventana Canyon and Canyon Ranch Resort are all located in this foothills area. The Catalina Foothills community includes some of the Tucson metropolitan area’s most expensive homes and land, and has the highest median property value. Most homes are situated on large lots with views of the Santa Catalina Mountain range or the Tucson city below.
Casas Adobes is located in the northern metropolitan area of Tucson just west of Catalina Foothills. Established in the 1940s, the Casas Adobes community has
grown to encompass a 23-square-mile area. Most of the homes in the subdivision are large ranch-style homes built with adobe bricks.
